Backstage at Vivienne Westwood – A Dream Come True
It was an immense pleasure and honour to photograph the very first bridal show of Vivienne Westwood during Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week. The creations were nothing short of spectacular – bold, sculptural, and bursting with the kind of raw, fearless creativity that defines the brand. Every detail backstage pulsed with energy and elegance, and I felt so inspired capturing those fleeting, beautiful moments.
This unforgettable opportunity came thanks to Maite Tuset, makeup director backstage at BBFW for over 10 years and now with MAC Cosmetics, whose leadership continues to elevate the creative standard of the entire event. It was also a pleasure to cross paths with Xabi Rodrigues, Creative Director of MAC for Iberia, whose presence and artistry added even more depth to the backstage magic throughout the week.
I was accompanied by my incredible business partner and stylist Nelson Velandia, whose presence made the whole experience even more special. Together, we soaked in the atmosphere, shared countless laughs, and marvelled at the artistry unfolding before our eyes.
Moments like these remind me why I fell in love with fashion photography in the first place. Here's to many more experiences like this one – and to all the magic still to come.
